La mer étoilée offers guests staying at the hotel the free use of cars, bicycles, electric bicycles (2), and mountain bikes (2). Enjoy Yakushima at your own pace by bicycle botaing.
It takes 30mins one way from Nagata to Yakushima Lighthouse and about 2hrs one way to Okawa Falls via the World Heritage Listed Coastal Road.

It takes only 10mins by bicycle to Nagata Inaka Beach, a sea turtle spawning ground and famous for its pure white sand and bright blue color.

Yokogawa Canyon, one of the largest canyons on Yakushima, revered as a sacred place by the local people, is a 10min drive away.
Enjoy the powerful scenery of huge granite rocks scattered around the area and the clear waters of the Nagata River.

It is a 15min drive to Yakushima Lighthouse, the southernmost of the existing Meiji Period lighthouses.
The sunset from here is the best view.

Cook whatever you want with the ingredients you have bought
on a BBQ that you can use for free.

Go out on deck and wait for the stars to fall.
Another short walk will give you an even more spectacular view of the Milky Way.
